Women in Sport Week 2025 takes place from 3rd to 9th March, with International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8th March at the heart of the celebrations. IWD is a global day recognising the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year’s campaign theme, “Accelerate Action—Collectively, we can Accelerate Action for gender equality,” calls on everyone to drive progress together.
At Wicklow Sports & Recreation Partnership, we are proud to support Women in Sport Week, which aims to:
✅ Celebrate every woman and girl who plays, coaches, officiates, volunteers, works in, and leads in sport.
✅ Promote and highlight the ongoing work of Sport Ireland, NGBs, LSPs, clubs, and stakeholders in advancing Women in Sport.
✅ Showcase some of the impactful programmes and initiatives supported by the Sport Ireland Women in Sport Programme.
We have a host of programmes happening all over Wicklow, sign up today. We kindly ask that you only sign up to events that you intend to participate in as spaces are limited!
