Hollywood GAA’s Lucy Mooney Named Wicklow’s 2025 Volunteer in Sport
February 16, 2026Women in Sport Week returns from 2nd–8th March 2026, and Wicklow Sports & Recreation Partnership is proud to once again celebrate the women and girls who play, coach, officiate, volunteer, work and lead in sport across our county.
This week is about visibility, opportunity and celebration.
It’s a chance to shine a spotlight on the incredible contribution women and girls make to sport in Wicklow every single day — and to encourage even more women and girls to get involved, try something new, and feel confident stepping into sport and physical activity.
What’s Happening in Wicklow?
Throughout the week, Wicklow Sports & Recreation Partnership will be running a number of events and initiatives designed to support and encourage female participation.
But Women in Sport Week is about more than just one organisation — it’s about the entire county coming together.
We know clubs, gyms, community groups, schools and activity providers across Wicklow will be running fantastic events during the week — and we want to showcase all of it.
