Public consultation sought for recreation and sports audit of Municipal Districts

Wicklow County Council is in the process of conducting a Recreation and Sports Needs Assessment for the following Municipal Districts (MD)to identify the needs, strengths, and deficits of the recreational and sporting offerings within the following districts:

• Wicklow MD
• Baltinglass MD
• Arklow MD

Local Residents

We wish to gain the views of local residents which will shape the study and future developments of sporting and recreational services in the area. A public consultation survey is being undertaken amongst residents in the various Municipal Districts. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete this questionnaire. There’s a link below to the public consultation survey, it’s important that we get as many people to complete this as possible. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Organisations, Groups, Clubs and Societies

In addition to the above, Wicklow County Council are in the process of conducting a Recreation and sports Needs Assessment to gain the views of local organisations which will shape the study and future developments of sporting and recreational services in the area.

A public consultation survey is being undertaken amongst the local organisations, groups, clubs & societies of the various Municipal Districts. Such sporting and recreational developments would require a significant capital investment and any information collected would be used to help make a business case to lever funding for potential future proposals.
