Enjoy Tennis recently organized a ‘Test Drive Wheelchair Tennis’ event for young players who would like to give the game a go. The event was held at Greystones LTC last Saturday, supported financially by the ITF through the Johann Cruyff Foundation. As you can see from our photos, there was a great turnout on a great day. The players really enjoyed their experience of tennis, and plans are being laid to build on this great start. November 3rd kicked off the inaugural Arklow Duck Pond junior parkrun. Over 130 children took part plus adults supporting them. Wicklow LSP was delighted to support another parkrun in Wicklow as they are a fantastic way for people to be active in their community. We now have two junior parkrun’s in the county, Bray and Arklow which take place at 9.30am on a Sunday morning and also two Adult parkruns in Avondale Forest and Russborough House which both take place on a Saturday at 9:30am.
